Hi dcobb,

I'm very sorry that you are suffering from CFS and depression and an possible infections transmitted by your tick bite....also the AF. I think the Marshall Protocol could definitely help you - however since you have been sick for some time, you may want to take things slowly that that you immunopathology (bacterial die-off reactions) do not become too strong.

In terms of finding an MP doctor in Ottawa, post the question at the following website:

www.curemyth1.org (Th1 refers to diseases caused by bacteria, hence the name). The patient advocates on the site will give you a list of doctors who are working with MP patients in Canada.

If you can't find a doctor near you on the list you may need to convince your current doctor, or a new open-minded doctor in your area to put you on the treatment. This article offers tips on how to find such a doctor:

All the best,

proved no help.I was bitten by a tick which left aan auricular rash around 1994. Muscle weakness is a chronic, worsening problem. Have suffered chronic depressionfor at least 20 years now controlled with
20 mg cipralex. also have At Fib which 2 cardioversions have not resolved.Any doctors in Ottawa Canada managing MP?

Hi Raquel,

I will send you Dr. Blaney's information in a private email.

CFS is a diagnosis of exclusion. Generally, if a patient is suffering from body pain, lack of energy, sleep problems, mental fogginess, or any other debilitating symptom but their blood work comes back relatively "normal," they are suffering from CFS. This website created by the CDC lists many more symptoms associated with the disease:

http://www.cdc.gov/cfs/

Although the information provided by the CDC is helpful in regard to symptoms, the latest research on the root cause of CFS is not discussed on the site. Data from our phase II trial (and other sources!) indicates that CFS is caused by different forms of chronic bacteria that persist inside the cells of the immune system and in protected communities called biofilms. However, the presence of these bacteria is not detected by standard lab tests so, as I mentioned above, if you have the disease your blood work may not even be out of range.

A test that can indicate the presence of CFS is the "Vitamin D metabolite test" In CFS, the chronic bacteria that cause the disease dyregulate the Vitamin D Receptor that controls the immune response. This dyregulation is reflected in the levels of the body's two main forms of vitamin D, 25-D and 1,25-D. In the presence of chronic bacteria, levels of 25-D usually drop and levels of 1,25-D generally rise. Read more about the Vitamin D tests here:

I'm glad you enjoy my articles. I hope that if you are ill you consider starting the MP!

Best,

Amy

Is there any possibility to have a contact address of Dr. Greg Blaney ?

May I ask you how to diagnose a CFS ?
What are the main symptoms ?
What are the markers in a blood test that could confirm this pathology ?

Enjoying to read every article you write.
